A Santa Fe native, Topa traveled to Michigan to complete her undergraduate degree in psychology at Western Michigan University and her master's in Applied Behavior Analysis at Northeastern University. While working on her master's degree, Topa became certified as Behavior Analyst; and furthered her career by working at the New England Center for Children, in both residential and early intervention settings. Topa has well over a decade of experience working with children and adults diagnosed with autism and other related disorders. She is particularly interested in teaching communication and social skills and loves working with families to promote these skills across all areas of a child's life. She is an instructor in the Applied Behavior Analysis program at University of West Florida and loves to spend any spare time chasing around her two little girls.
